Overview

This terminal swap procedure applies when:

  • A service exchange has been placed for a PetroTrak terminal, and
  • The terminal has already been swapped in DMS, and
  • The swap needs to be completed in the PetroTrak User Console

Procedure

Terminal Swap

Swapping a PetroTrak terminal is similar to swapping a generic Verifone, with the additional steps below.

It is important to follow each step to ensure the Customer receives Fleet funds.

  1. In DMS, confirm that the swap is complete. 
  2. Access the PetroTrak User Console. 
  3. Search for the device. 
  4. In the - + Menu on the left (navigation pane):
    1. Expand Merchant node.
    2. Expand Terminal node.
  1. Add device:
    1. Right-click on Terminal.
    2. Select Add.
    3. Enter the Terminal ID.
    4. Select Communication Type.
    5. Select Save.
  1. Close the batch on the device.

NOTE: Fleet transactions are processed through PetroTrak (not Base 24). Therefore, the batch should be closed on the old terminal before deallocating.
